Bonjour!
Bienvenue à mon site web! My name is Susan Mohr. I teach French III, IV and V, as well as courses in the International Baccalaureate program, French levels I and II. Teaching French culture and language is both a love and passion of mine and I love working with young people in the classroom. I am one of the co-advisers of French Club and the National Honor Society, as well as a Class Sponsor.
My teaching career began in Clarkston after graduating college. I graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in French, Geography, and Secondary Education. I also have a M.A. from Michigan State University in Curriculum and Instruction. I have lived and studied in France and began traveling internationally at a young age. I firmly believe that traveling abroad bridges gaps between cultures and people and teaches one more about the world and how it works than anything else. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy being active by running, biking and staying fit. I love nature and being outdoors! My family is my greatest accomplishment in life and we enjoy spending time together and staying active. In 2013, I ran my first marathon with my church, promoting the Hope Water Project, which allowed us to build water wells, bringing clean water to thousands of people in Kenya, namely the Pokot people. We raised over $1 million dollars for this worthy cause.
It is a privilege for me to work with your children and teach them not only a discipline, but a skill that will afford them so many incredible opportunities in their future. My interest and curiosity with learning French started in the classroom and continues to grow, even to this day. I am committed to the work I do everyday and hope to instill a love and passion for language learning within each student that enters my classroom. If you have any questions while exploring my site, please feel free to contact me.
Merci!
